What is AP?

AP Yo-Yo Open is one of the world’s premier international yo-yo competitions and the second largest globally. Founded in 2003 by Spinworkx, AP has played a defining role in shaping competitive yo-yo culture, launching champions and connecting communities across borders.

After its last edition in 2019, AP paused during the pandemic. In 2026, it returns with renewed purpose.

Rebranded as AP Yo-Yo Open, the competition is now open to players from all countries. What began as a regional championship has evolved into a truly global stage.

AP Yo-Yo Open celebrates technical mastery, creativity, musicality, and performance across multiple divisions. It is a platform where players push boundaries, experiment, and redefine what is possible on stage.

The event is now run on a non-profit model, managed by a volunteer-led organising committee, including its directors and core team. Everyone involved contributes their time and expertise to sustain the competition and give back to the community that shaped them. Any support received goes directly towards covering event costs and ensuring the long-term continuity of AP.

Held in Singapore, AP Yo-Yo Open brings together players, judges, brands, and fans for three days of competition, connection, and community.

The stage is open. The world is invited.
